I'm Maya. But people back home also call me Mayang (ma•young).
I was born and raised in Indonesia, until I decided to go across the world to the great north that is Canada. I came to pursue my interest in Computer Science, but that is when I first met (or came to know of) User Experience design.
I was completely starstruck, and I fell in love the more I got to know it.
To design enjoyable and meaningful products, it is necessary to understand what people need. It’s a big task sometimes, but it is one that I have the opportunity to accomplish as an interaction designer. Grounded in data and research, I have the ability to make more informed design decisions and create better solutions.
Having been exposed to both design and development, I also have acquired some insights on technical possibilities and its process. This allows me to be an advocate for designers and developers as I try to find elegant and functional solutions that are still within its technical constraints.
